Well over 100 and still going...

Once upon a time I started a blog to help a fellow crocheter... and I continue to be impressed to see so many so eager and willing to make things right. Crochet people rock!

So, to those coming to 8Paws for the first time... Yes, I'm still here... Yes, I can help you get the patterns...  And yes, it continues to be the right thing to do!

1 Year, 92 Helped, and Yes, I'm Still Here!

My oh my, I have to say that I continue to be amazed at the crochet community and how well received this pet project of mine has been... not to mention that we couldn't be helping a better person. If you read the Itsy Bitsy blog from February, you know that Karla deserves every bit of help she can get!  So, to answer the question I seem to be asked the most, Yes, I'm still here!

Yes, We're Still Open!

While it's been quite some time since I started this, those who are interested will be happy to learn that yes, I still continue to operate my secret work (hee hee hee) and take great pleasure in seeing a plan come together.  The count is well over 70 folks so far that have been helped!

45 and counting!

Well the holidays have certainly been a busy time and a lot of people were certainly infected with the crochet bug.  I saw a bit of a spike in requests for the patterns and to-date over 45 people have been helped.  It's become a bit of a pet project and being an avid crocheter, I know how exciting it is to start on a new pattern... so I'm tickled to know there are many new WIPs out there!  May the crochet bug continue to infect more and more!

STILL GOING...

While I don't get any financial reward from doing this, there is a significant amount of enjoyment from knowing you're helping out.  So far I've been able to help out over 30 people fulfill their dream and reward the author in the process.  How neat to see so many who do not hesitate to do what's right!

Angry Birds

ONCE UPON A TIME I found a pattern that I really liked, but I was saddened to learn that some not so nice people told the creative soul that developed the pattern that she couldn't sell her work.  I saw that others had tried to get her to share the patterns, but not willing to risk a potential legal battle, she refused time and again.  Alas, I was too late to buy the pattern.  (Great sadness.)

But the design was just too perfect, and not giving up I poked around... and finally I was able to gather all the patterns.  (Yeay!)  But, since I couldn't pay for these particular patterns, I found another way to reward  the talented writer because that was simply the right thing to do.

So I started this blog as a means to continue the Itsy Bitsy Spider Angry Bird legacy.
